Eugene Trofimchuk, P.E., is the founder and president of ProEngineering P.C., a New York–based firm specializing in fire protection engineering and FDNY expediting services. With over a decade of experience spanning both public service and private-sector engineering, Eugene brings a rare blend of regulatory insight and technical precision to every project he leads.
Before launching ProEngineering, Eugene spent nearly nine years as an Inspector and Supervisor with the New York City Fire Department. In that role, he developed deep expertise in fire code enforcement, plan review, and field inspections—experience that now informs his firm’s approach to compliance strategy and filing efficiency. His time at the FDNY gave him a firsthand understanding of the challenges contractors, architects, and building owners face when navigating the city’s complex fire safety regulations.
As a licensed Professional Engineer in New York State, Eugene is known for his rigorous attention to detail and his ability to translate code requirements into practical, buildable solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree from the City University of New York and has built a reputation for responsiveness, clarity, and results-driven service.
